When I read the article it didn't sound like he shot him while he was texting. It seemed to happen when the guy in front started hasseling him when he thought he went and told the manager. As bad as it sounds, there may be more that caused this to escalate to the tragedy.

History..It was the California Supreme court, not the US Supreme court that abolished the death penalty.Five years later it was reinstated. As to whether they were "liberal" that's for interpretation, but they were California judges.

She is 87! Very unlikely CPR would do any good unless there was an AED right there. Even then the chances are poor to none. At 87 I almost think a DNR is automatic. Tort laws in California have upper limits of 250K unless the patient is over 60.
